Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is a fertility investigative treatment that has helped millions of women battling infertility. We usually recommend hysteroscopy treatment before IVF treatment because it is the best way to check if your uterus is healthy and ready to carry a baby. It can spot things an ultrasound scan can’t.

It can detect issues, like bleeding between periods, post-menopausal bleeding, fibroids, and heavy periods. You can trust our specialist to give you the best care and expertise in Hysteroscopy. Our Specialists are of the highest calibre and have international reputations for their research.

You are in control of your Hysteroscopy treatment at our Clinic, which means you have the freedom and flexibility to choose the consultant you want and when you want it. You can get the treatment as an outpatient or day-case procedure with no overnight stay.

Also, you get to enjoy our modern well-equipped facilities and conducive environment. Although the recovery time after hysteroscopy is typically short, we go the extra mile to ensure our patients can return to normal activities within a few days.

Hysteroscopy Procedure

We use a hysteroscope, a thin and flexible instrument with a light and camera on the end for viewing the inside of the uterus on a screen, in real-time, and to perform diagnostic or therapeutic procedures as necessary.

The hysteroscope is inserted through the cervix and into the uterus to diagnose and treat various uterine conditions, like abnormal bleeding, polyps, fibroids, and adhesions. It can also be used to perform some surgical procedures, such as endometrial ablation, uterine septum resection, or the removal of an intrauterine device (IUD).

The procedure is usually performed under local or general anaesthesia and can be done on an outpatient basis. In some cases, hysteroscopy is done with other imaging tests, such as ultrasound, to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the uterus.
